Wayne Lawrence Davis, age 53, Scenic Dr., Harrodsburg, husband of Marianne Malone Davis, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at his residence.
Born September 29, 1953 in Rock Island, IL, he was the son of the late Henry Oren and Virginia (Tunnell) Davis. He was a retired Kentucky Department Of Fish & Wildlife fishery biologist and was Director of Mercer Co. Emergency Management.
Survivors other than his wife include: one daughter, Dawn Anne Davis of Harrodsburg; one son, Bill Davis of Union, KY formerly of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Kay Wyssbrod and Barb Zimmerer both of Louisville, KY.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, August 24 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by James Harley. Visitation will be after 4:00 PM Thursday at Ransdells.
Pallbearers are Bill Davis, Jeremy Shope, Spence Chitwood, Todd Collier, Don Pelley, Richie Bottoms, Jake Phillips, Tom Phillips, Mark Wyssbrod, and Robert Wyssbrod.
