J. B. Reed, age 73, 2061 Bohon Rd., Harrodsburg husband of Jane Hafley Reed, died Monday, September 3, 2007 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born June 27, 1934 in Mercer Co., KY, he was the son of the late Varnie and Anna Mae (Carter) Reed, and step son of Genavie Long Reed, Harrodsburg.
He was an Air Force Veteran, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and was a retired IBM employee.
Survivors other than his wife and step mother include: two daughters, Anna Reed of Columbus, OH and Kindra (John) Warren of Lexington, KY; one son, Varnie (Tammy) Reed of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister, Trudy Cavins of Lexington, KY; one brother, Hugh Reed of Sacramento, CA; and 4 grandchildren, Tanner Reed, Levi, Shelby and Jack Warren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 6 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Harley Humfleet with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are Boo Royalty, Ralph Rogers, Levi Warren, Tanner Warren, John Warren, Bryan Chorey. Honorary bearers are members of the Calvary Adult Men SS Class.
Visitation 5-8 PM Wed., Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Masonic Rites.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Shriner´s Childrens Hospital, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502.
