Joyce H. Sanders, age 73, 626 Greenbriar Dr., Harrodsburg, widow of Billy Dean Sanders, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center., Harrodsburg, KY.
Born July 5, 1934 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late James and Virginia (Thomas) Houchins. She was a retired American Greetings employee and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include: two daughters: Virginia (Thomas) Helbling of Lexington, KY, Joy (Eugene) Myatt of Mt. Hermon, KY and one son: James Dean (Lora Ann) Sanders of Harrodsburg; five sisters: Betty Shaw, Scotty Newby, Frances Caton, Patty Hall, and Billie Camic all of Harrodsburg, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her step parents: Harvey and Mayme Green.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 4 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Brad King with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Russ Sanders, Heather Sanders, Jason Sanders, Jessica Helbling, DeDee O'Hara, Brendan O'Hara, Adam Myatt, and Justin Myatt.
Honorary bearers: Mason Sanders and Cameron Sanders
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3 after 5:00 PM and Thursday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Mercer County Humane Society or Heritage Hospice or Relay for Life.
