Carl Dailey, Jr., age 82, Harrodsburg, widower of Violet Carey Dailey, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the V.A Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
Born August 27, 1925 in Madison County, KY, he was the son of the late Carl and Mary Alice (Prewitt) Dailey. He served our country in the Navy. He was a farmer and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Carl served on the Board of Directors for the Pioneer Saddle Club for several years, and owned and raised many outstanding Tennessee Walking Horses
Survivors include: a daughter: Sharlene (Darrell) Young and two sons: Ronnie (Leniece) Dailey and Terry (Brenda) Dailey all of Harrodsburg, KY; two sisters: Emma Barlow of Dayton, OH, Ann Lamachy of Daytona, FL; and a brother: John Dailey of Dakota City, NE; Seven Grandchildren, ; Two Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 PM, Friday, October 5 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Harley Humfleet. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Tim Dailey, Neal Prather, Frankie Prather, Carl Lamb, Kenny Lamb and Billy Anderson. Honorary Bearers are: Amy Riley, Jennifer Benge, Jamie Benge, Emily Daniels, Angelia Dailey, and Allison Dailey
Visitation will be Thursday, October 4 from 5-8 PM and Friday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested to V.A. Hospital.
