Obituary of Beverly J. Floyd

Beverly Jane (Fernandes) Floyd was born July 12, 1930 in Wilmar, CA and passed away, October 7, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg at the age of 77. She married the late Harry T. Floyd in Pocatello, Idaho, June 26, 1950 on the rodeo circuit. They celebrated 57 years of marriage before his passing in July. Beverly is survived by a daughter: Charlene (Floyd) Monahan, two granddaughters: Anjanett (Greg) Cobb of Georgetown, KY and Jennifer (David) Biroschik of Lexington, KY; three great grandchildren Madison Michelle Cobb, Grant Nolan Biroschik and John Gaige Biroschik; a sister: Evelyn Fernandes Ponder of Texas City, TX. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Jerri Marie (Floyd) Harris, her husband: Harry T. Floyd, a sister: Maxine Fernandes Dane, a brother: Frank Fernandes Jr., her mother and father: Edwina Grace (Montgomery) and Frank Fernandes Sr. and a step father: Brown Fernandes. Beverly fought a courageous battle with cancer and was an inspiration to many. During this difficult time she gained strength them the lord as well as many family members, friends and neighbors. There will be no visitation, committal service will be at the Olivewood Memorial Park in Riverside CA. The Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
