Obituary of Edna Hogue

Edna Hogue, age 88, widow of James Edward Hogue, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center., Harrodsburg, KY. Born October 9, 1918 in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Goldman and Ethel (Woods) Patterson. Edna graduated from McAfee High School and attended Georgetown College. She retired from Palm Beach and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church and a devout Christian all of her life. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Harrodsburg Chapter #309 Survivors include: a daughter: Carolyn Hogue of Danville, KY and a son: James G. (Judy) Hogue of Harrodsburg, KY; two Granddaughters, Lori Anne (Michael) Burke and Heather (Wayne) Tudor; 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother: J.C. (Emily) Patterson and two sisters: Grace (Clifton) Demeree and Zorada Patterson. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 PM, Thursday, October 11 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mark Thompson and burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: David Phillips Jr., Brandon Noel, Wayne Tudor, Michael Burke, Hayven Lawson and Bobby Lawson. Members of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #309 are to serve as Honorary Bearers.
