Jeese Young, age 89, Harrodsburg, widower of Edith Davidson Young, died Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born October 31, 1917 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Otis C. and Pearl (Hardin) Young. He was a farmer and a member of the Salvisa Christian Church. Survivors include: two daughters: Saundra Powell of Memphis, TN and Ann Dean of Harrodsburg, KY and two sons: J.C. Young of Harrodsburg and Michael Young of Salvisa. Sisters-in-Law, Edwina and Helen Young; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter: Jean Hatch; five brothers: James Thomas, O.C., William Merrideth , Amos and Andy Young; two sisters: Jeanie Lyons and Anna Lou Clark.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 11 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Johnny Hockersmith and Gil Duffee. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: David Powell, Stephen Powell, Kenny Hatch, R.T. "Tommy" Dean III, Ricky Young and Jeff Wells. Honorary Bearers are Bud Hahn, Benny Hahn, Carl Hazelwood, Daryl Agie, Bubby Brock and William F. Dean
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 10 after 5:00 PM and Thursday prior to Service.
