Obituary of Claude Thomas "TOM" Denny

Claude Thomas Denny, age 71, Harrodsburg, widower of Marilyn McGlone Denny, died Friday, November 2, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born March 14, 1936 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Claude Franklin and Ruth (Rose) Denny. He was a Marine serving during the Korean War. He was a retired supervisor for the Department Of Human Resources and a member of the St Andrew Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Mercer Masonic Lodge # 777 F&AM, the Oleika Shrine, the American Legion Post # 46, and was the Commandant of the Marine Corp League (1994 & 1995). Survivors include: a sister: Cora Lee Wilson of Louisville, KY; and two brothers: Fred Denny of New Castle, KY and Leroy Denny of Floyd Knobs, IN; several nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion: Wally. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, November 5 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church by Fathers Frank Osburg, Joseph Muench and Danny Schwendeman Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites. Pallbearers are: Dale Heise, Bobby Riester, Doc McKinney, Kevin Horn, Jesse Gilpin and Bill Huff. Visitation will be after 5 pm Sunday, November 4 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
