GENEVA CARRIER PHILLIPS Geneva Carrier Phillips, age 82, Harrodsburg Health Care Center, widow of John “Coonie” Roy Phillips, died Wednesday, September 24th at the Health Care Center. Born June 3, 1921 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mollie Coslow Carrier and was a homemaker and a member of the Eller’s Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include six sons, Johnnie C. Phillips, Loyd R. Phillips, Danny Phillips, and Terry W. Phillips all of Harrodsburg, Bobby A. Phillips and Connie J. Phillips, both of Danville, four daughters, Shelby Jean Devine and Mary A. Phillips, both of Harrodsburg, Rose Cottrell, Williamstown and Brenda Andrade, Danville; one brother Russell Carrier, Harrodsburg; three sisters, Mary Roberts and Beulah Smith, both of Harrodsburg and Lettie Smith, Lawrenceburg; 27 grandchildren, and 17 great grand children. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Marvin, Raymond, Garnett and Elwood Carrier and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, September 27th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Harold Best and Loyd Phillips, Jr.. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Friday and after 7:30 AM Saturday at the chapel. Pallbearers are Loyd Phillips, Jr., Nicholas Moore, Jason Derousse, Michael Phillips, Jacob Phillips, and David Phillips, Jr. Honorary bearers are grandchildren and great grandchildren.
