Obituary of Verna Devine

Verna Devine, age 57, 140 Woodford Place, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of Thomas "Tom" Devine, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at her home. Born March 19, 1950 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late G. C. and Shannon (Wilson) Farney. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper having worked at Danville High School & the Mercer County Schools Guidance Office. Survivors other than her husband include: one daughter, Kristen Nicole Devine of Lexington, KY; three sisters, Virginia Lou Camic of Danville, KY, Patsy Harshbarger of Tampa, FL, and Rose Brogli of Raleigh, NC; one step son, Doug Devine of Satellite Beach, FL; one step daughter, Cari Perkins of Harrodsburg, KY; 4 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Roma Jean Reed and Marlene Early. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bud Brogli and Don Harshbarger with burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are Dennis Tyler, David Taylor, Larry Peyton, Jimmy Overall, Genie Sims, and Larry Cotton. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Tuesday, and prior to the service on Wednesday.
