Dora M. Lowe Obituary
Dora M. Lowe, age73, 467 Cardwell Avenue, Harrodsburg, died Friday, September 26th at the Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home in Carlisle, KY after a long illness. Born June 23, 1930 in Cornishville, she was the daughter of the late Finis J. and Cora Gritton Sims, was a sales clerk at J.J. Newberrys and The Ben Franklin Stores formerly in Harrodsburg and was a member of the Southside Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Lowe, Harrodsburg; a daughter, Glenna and her husband Dennis Norton, Carlisle, KY; two sisters, Laura Sims Wright, Mercer Co. and Mary Sims Easterling, Middletown, OH; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Hassell B., Cecil J., Clyde, and Everett Sims and a sister Eda Mae Sims.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 PM Monday, September 29th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Elwood Norton and John David Lane. Burial will be in the Cornishville Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 PM Sunday and after 7:30 AM Monday at the chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Cornishville Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
