Obituary of Ruby Proctor

Ruby Proctor, age 97, Pleasant Hill Drive, Burgin, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born March 11, 1910 in Mercer Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Atwood and Hattie (Smith) Proctor. She was a retired teacher for the Burgin Independent School System and a member of the Burgin Baptist Church. Survivors include a number of Cousins and special Caregivers: Barbara Leach, Dolly Stagner, Margaret O’Banion and Lenora Nave. She was predeceased by two sisters: Annie Lou Proctor Herrell, Christine Proctor and a brother: Ralph Walter Proctor. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 29 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Carl McCray, Proctor Riggins & Robert DeFoor and burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Delbert Ball, David Sims, Bob Webb, Fred VanArsdall, Curtis Bailey, Bill Bradshaw, G.T. Shannon and Charles Goodlett. Honary Bearers include: Pat Lear, Bill Patrick, Guilford Waggener, Bill Waggener, Howard Waggener, Lawrence Hawkins, Doug Sanders, Bob Willams, Gene Robinson, Bucky Merriman, Eddie Russell, Steve Kestler, Don Kestler, Jerry Shepherd, Ernest Nave, Ron Leach, Bob Thompson, L.B. Oliver, Richard Webb and Dr. Scott George, Carol Montgomery and the Deacons & Sunday School Class Members. Visitation will be Friday, December 28 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
