Ernest Delbert Ball, age 79, Burgin, husband of Edna Mae Hager Ball, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
Born January 7, 1928 in Garrard County, KY, he was the son of the late Ben and Agnes (Buckley) Ball.
He was a retired system supervisor for Kentucky Utilities and a member of the Burgin Baptist Church. Delbert was also a member of the Burgin Lions Club, the Mercer Masonic Lodge #777 F&AM and the Oleika Shrine Temple.
Survivors include: his wife: Edna Mae (Hager) Ball, a daughter: Deborah (David) Lester and two grandchildren: David Lester Jr. and Dena Lester of Weston, FL; one sister: Thelma Bowden of Fairhope, AL; One Niece. He was predeceased by a brother Lewis Ball and a sister Dorothy Kimball.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM, Thursday, January 3 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Harvey Britton and burial will be in the Burgin Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers are: Bill Price, Roy Lee Sanders, Mark Bradshaw, Bob VanArsdall, Fred VanArsdall, G.T. Shannon, Charles Goodlett and Eddie Russell. Honorary Bearers are: Bobby Royalty, Bobby C. Campbell,John David Lane, Horace Lester, John D. Brown, Joe Green, Virgil Green, William Hayslett and David Sims.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2 from 5- 8 PM and Thursday prior to Service.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Shiners Childrens Hospital or the Parkinson Foundation.
