Obituary of Lucille Sims

Lucille Isham Sims, age 85, 851 South College Street, widow of William D. Sims, died Saturday, September 27 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born May 28, 1918 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late John and Ada Hendren Isham, was a homemaker and member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Wendell W. Sims, Coxes Creek, and Bruce C. Sims, Mackville; two daughters, Alissa J. Adams, Palm Harbor, FL and Nancy L. Blacketer, New Albany, IN; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Loyd and Bishop Isham and a sister Hattie V. Burns.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, October 1 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Kelly Baker and Carl Blacketer. Burial will be at the Battle Cemetery in Washington County. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm Tuesday and after 7:30 am Wednesday at the Chapel.
Pallbearers are Darrel Baker, Shirley Yeaste, Granville Moore, W. Connie Isham, Larry Isham, and Freddy Bottoms.
