Obituary of Samuel Ray Travillian

Samuel Ray Travillian, age 74, 1400 Johnson Rd, Harrodsburg, widower of Jessie Louise Sallee Travillian, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at his home. Born October 17, 1933 in Laurel Co., KY, he was the son of the late Pleas Travillian and Jessie Lee (Crick) Travillian, Harrodsburg. He was retired from maintenance at General Electric – Louisville and was a member of the Light House Assembly of God. Survivors other than his mother include: four daughters, Sue (Terry) Gordon of Salvisa, KY, Reeda (Robert) Rowland of Danville, KY, Joyce (Jim) Ely of Harrodsburg, KY, Sandy (Ricky) Long of Harrodsburg, KY; one son, Joe (Kim) Travillian of Harrodsburg, KY; three sisters, Samantha Sturdivant and Zetta Lanham, both of Danville, KY, and Mable Carrier of Frankfort, KY; three brothers, George Travillian of FL, and Lonnie Travillian and Pleas Travillian Jr., both of Harrodsburg, KY; 13 grandchildren, Tricia Camden, Amy Coleman, Annie Craig, Robert Rowland II, Amanda Sallee, Gloria Eldridge, Michael Long, Jessica Gordon, Zac Gordon, Ty Gordon, Samantha Travillian, Jacob Travillian, and Lillian Travillian; 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester, Stallard, and David Travillian; a son, Samuel Russell Travillian; and a grandson, Richard (Richie) Ray Long Jr.. Funeral services will be 2 pm Thu. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Pete Toth and Terry Gordon. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are Barry Camden, Wayne Doud, Tommy Craig, Michael Long, Zachary Gordon, and Shawn Sallee. Honorary bearers are Jacob Travillian, Robert Rowland II, and Ty Gordon.
