2 Jack Whitenack, age 75, Harrodsburg, husband of Shirley “Ann” Brown Whitenack, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his home in Harrodsburg, KY. Born June 16, 1932 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Elwood and Mary Jane (Sallee) Whitenack. He was a brick mason and a member of the V.F.W and the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include: his wife: Ann (Brown) Whitenack, three daughters: Rose (Mike) McKinney, Kathy (Bill) Weber of Salvisa, KY and Carolyn (Lynn) Gammon of Harrodsburg, KY and three sons: James "Buck" (Vonna) Whitenack of Harrodsburg, KY, Billy (Dona) Whitenack of Lawrenceburg, KY, Mike (Stephanie) Whitenack of Frankfort, KY; five sisters: Georgia Napier of TN, Price (Glenn) Ransdell of IN, Pataline Morrissey and Ruth Haas of Harrodsburg, KY, Cindy (Ronald) Riddley of Stamping Ground, KY; and two brothers: Melton Whitenack of TX, Roland Whitenack of Harrodsburg, KY; Sister-in-Law, Mary (Connie) Baker of Harrodsburg, KY; 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Predeceased by two sons: George Darrell and Donald Hugh Whitenack and two brothers: Jim and Carey Whitenack. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, February 15 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John David Lane. Burial with military rites will be in the Mt Pleasant Presbyterian Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers will be: Michael and Chris Gammon, Darrell, Mikie, Nick and Johnny Whitenack and Adam Guthrie. Honorary bearers are: David, Donnie and Jerry Brown, Greg and Charlie Whitenack, Jim Baker and Billy Wilson Visitation will be Thursday, February 14 after 5:00 PM and Friday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Heritage Hospice. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com
