Naomi Harrell Wilds, 94, widow of Robert Thomas Wilds, died Monday, February, 25, 2008 at the Breckinridge in Lexington, Kentucky. Born July 4, 1913 in Saltville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Mitchell and Nancy Davidson Harrell. Mrs. Wilds had worked at the Old Fort Harrod State Park Museum for 19 years, and was a long time member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: a son, Robert Thomas (Jack) Wilds III of Branford, Florida; three daughters, Wilma Knight of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Ann Lindsey (Dr. Jene) of Waco, Texas, and Shirley Donald (Jack) of Garland, Texas; ten grandchildren, David Knight (Toni), Carolyn Steffan (John), Robert Thomas Wilds IV, Lisa Fulmer (Dr. Mark), Dr. John William Lindsey, Dr. Robert Mitchell Lindsey (Lorie), Arden Seggerman (Dr. Richard), Cheryl Fletcher (Carl Edward), Stephen Donald, Susan Elkins (Col. Richard Gregory); 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild ; and one sister, Eileen Coburn of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Karen Knight and Kimberly (Jeanie) Knight, a brother and four sisters. Visitation 5 – 7 PM Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, Ransdell Funeral Chapel. There will be a private burial service. The family requests that memorials be made to the Burgin Baptist Church or Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
