Obituary of Judy Patterson Carey

JUDY PATTERSON CAREY Judy Patterson Carey, age 56, 830 North College Street, died Tuesday, October 7 after a long illness. Born December 22, 1946 in Mercer County, she is the daughter of Carolyn Jane Black Harmon, Harrodsburg and the late Walter Carroll Harmon. She was a homemaker, an avid Rook Player, loyal friend, and member of the Grace Baptist Church. Survivors besides her mother include former spouses, Larry Patterson and Bill Carey, both of Harrodsburg; three daughters, Deonna Patterson Serrano, La Bandi Patterson, and Adana Zuniga-Patterson all of Harrodsburg; a foster son/nephew, Brent Harmon, Harrodsburg; a foster daughter/niece, Kim Harmon, Harrodsburg; two special family members, Dru Patterson and Bobbie Jean Tyler, both of Harrodsburg and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel; burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Wednesday at the chapel. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers will be Gary “Red” Hume, Rick Moberly, Jeff Harmon, James “Ottie” O’Nan, John Rider, and Brent Harmon. Honorary bearers will be Linda Carter, Pam Devine, Wanda Rogers, Shane Powell, and John Hardin
