Samuel Jackson "Jack" Brogle, age 71, Salvisa, husband of Barbara Sharp Brogle, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born July 25, 1936 in Bryantsville, KY, he was the son of the late Ottie Walker and Hazel (Brown) Brogle. He was retired from IBM and was a full time farmer. Jack was also an avid hunter and fisherman, UK Basketball fan and loved a game of Rook. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Kirkwood Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include: three daughters: Jeaneane (David) Ball of Salvisa, Jennifer Brogle of Harrodsburg and Melanie Brogle of Frankfort, KY; one son: Stephen Jackson (Karin) Brogle of Salvisa; Step Daughter, Sherri Piersall of Winchester; one sister: Joann Crowe of Bowling Green; and three brothers: Robert "Bob" Brogli of Scottsville, Gene Brogli of Somerset and Vernon Lee "Bud" Brogli of Raleigh, NC; Eight Grandchildren; One Step Grandchild. Predeceased by a son David Wesley Brogle, a step grandson: Lee Flynn and three brothers: William Martin Brogli, Ottie Walker Brogli Jr. and James (Jim) Brogli. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, March 7 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Justin Runyon and burial will be in the Kirkwood Cemetery, Salvisa. Pallbearers are: Scott Brogle, Travis Brogle, Kyle Brogle, Derek Ball, Justin Ball, Gene Brogli, Robert "Bob" Brogli, Vernon "Bud" Brogli. Honorary Bearers are: Bliss Brogle, Farren Young, Andrea White and Trent Young Visitation will be Thursday, March 6 after 5:00 PM and Friday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Kirkwood Baptist Church.
