Obituary of Clarence Alton Kurtz

Clarence Alton Kurtz, age 96, Harrodsburg, widower of Nora Yeaste Kurtz, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born February 29, 1912 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Clarence Roland and Nora Ethel Voorhies Kurtz. Mr. Kurtz kept himself busy in recent years as the chief box maker at the Harrodsburg Bakery. He was a farmer and businessman.
Survivors include: several nieces and nephews, he was predeceased by six sisters: Hazel K. Sims, Margaret Frances Tumey, Naomi Ray Kurtz, Jesse Katherine Sims Louise Carter, Ruth Evelyn Davis, and two brothers: Alvin V. Kurtz, and Harvey Jeff Kurtz.
Funeral services will be conducted 02:00 PM, Friday, March 7 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by David Crowe and Kit Yeaste. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Don Pelly, Connie Mink, Tom Cloud, Ed Yeaste, Ron Kurtz, Ken Kurtz, H.J. Sims and Wayne Reinsmith. Honorary Bearers are: Buddy Jackson, David Baker, Daryl Catlett, Tom Vigneri, Lonnie Campbell, Fred Lawson, Bronson Yeast and Tommy Camden.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 6 from 5-8 pm and Friday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Charity of One's Choice.
