Josephine S. Scott, age 89, Harrodsburg, widow of Ezra Scott, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Mayfair Manor, Lexington, KY.
Born June 29, 1918 in Muhlenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Lindsey and Tevis Bell Hall Spurlin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Chruch where she was an active volunteer for many years.
Survivors include: two daughters: Hilda Mittwede of Port Sant Lucie, FL, Doctor Nancy L. Scott of Lexington, and one son: Donald R. Scott of Harrodsburg; four Grandchildren: Carla Anderson, Jo Gardner Chonko, Kurt William Mittwede, Thomas Joel Scott; and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, at the Harrodsburg Baptist Church by Robert DeFoor and John Bruce. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers: Joseph Lyons, Mark Willmott, Curt Willmott, Michael Keller, Joel Scott, David Baker.
Visitation will be Friday, April 11 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, and Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service at Church.
