Jack Laird Nelson, 71, Robinson Roe Rd., Harrodsburg, husband of Joyce Ann Collins Nelson, died Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born February 17, 1937 in Cook Co., IL, he was the son of the late Cedric and Pearl (Jauch) Nelson. He was a horse trainer and a member of the Lutheran Church, and had attended the Rising Sun Christian Church.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Janet (John) Underwood of Burgin, KY; and one son, Jimmie (Rhonda) Nelson of Somerset, KY; one sister, Judith Mueller of Park Ridge, IL.; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Scott Bugg with burial will be in the Burgin Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers are Mark Underwood, Denny Harrington, John Chapa, John Underwood, Darrell Collins, and Malcolm Collins.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 26 from 4-8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
