Ralph Harlow, age 86, Harrodsburg, husband of Lettie Frances Jackson Harlow, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Charleston Health Care Center in Danville. Born June 26, 1921 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late William Strater and Flora Alice (Moore) Harlow. He served the Army during WWII. He was a retired Truck Driver for the Kentucky State Highway Dept. and a member of the Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife: Lettie Frances Jackson Harlow, a daughter: Shelvie Jean Estes of Edgewater, FL and a son: Ralph Harlow Jr. of Berea, KY; one sister: Lovena H. Wilham of Harrodsburg, KY; Six Grandchildren: Allen William Harlow, Lori Lin Sheehan, Shawna Crystal Howard, Robert Sean Estes, Traci Dawn Browning and Jeremy Shannon Estes; and Nine Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 28 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Steve James. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Don Browning, Tim Sheehan, Troy Howard, Allen William Harlow, Robert Sean Estes and Jeremy Shannon Estes. Honorary Bearers are: Carl Carey Jr., Les Rue, Paul Tyler, J.L. Devine, Bernice J. Long, Walter Jackson and Jerry Wilson. Visitation will be Friday, June 27, 5-8 pm and Saturday prior to the Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Relay for Life or American Diabetes Association.
