JAMES ROBERT STRATTON

James Robert Stratton, age 48, 270 Gell Lane, Salvisa, husband of Jana Peach Stratton, died Monday, October 13, 2003 at his residence after a long illness. Born July 5, 1955 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of J.B. and Margaret Louise Hanks Stratton, Harrodsburg, was a self-employed farmer and member of the Baptist church.

Survivors besides his father, mother, and wife include one son, Benjamin Lee Stratton; one daughter, Keri Lynn Stratton, both of Salvisa; one brother, George Kevin (Jamie) Stratton, Mercer Co.; his maternal grandmother, Alice Ray Hanks, Lawrenceburg; and two nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, October 16, 2003 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Cleo Goodlett. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the chapel.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Heritage Hospice. Pallbearers will be Ben Stratton, Wayne Becknell, Anthony Becknell, Wayne Whittaker, Al Crowell, Steven Goodlett, Herbie Ashton, and Fred Coke.
