Kenneth Samuel Long, age 87, Harrodsburg, widower of Dorothy Mae Tatum Long, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born May 4, 1921 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Harve Lee and Oma (Phillips) Long. He was a retired shift supervisor at Kentucky Utilities and a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: three daughters: Janis L. (Ron) Kratzwald, Susan (Clarence) Greene all of Harrodsburg, KY and Diane Long of Lexington, KY; four Grandchildren: Scott Kratrzwald, Kristen Kratzwald, Daniel Greene and Nicholas Greene; one sister: Genavie Reed of Danville. Kenneth was predeceased by a brother: Dudley Long and a sister: Doris McCrystal.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 9 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Ken Klemme with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Ron Kratzwald, Clarance Greene, Scott Kratzwald, Kristen Kratzwald, Daniel Greene and Nicholas Greene.
Visitation will be Friday, August 8 from 5-8 pm and Saturday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
