Marie Best, age 82, Harrodsburg, widow of James Everett Best, Sr. died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Born December 24, 1925 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Hartford and Haggie Peavler Isham.
She was a retired office manager for Dairyman Inc. and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include: a daughter: Vevia Sue Best of Harrodsburg, and a son: James E. (Elizabeth) Best, Jr. of Paducah, two sisters: Mildred Isham and Pauline Votaw both of Harrodsburg, a grandson: John W. Best. She was predeceased by a brother: Royce Isham.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 23 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Friday, August 22 from 5-8 pm and Saturday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
