Mildred R. Cox, age 94, Salvisa, widow of Warren Thomas “Tom” Cox, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Heritage Hall Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lawrenceburg, KY. Born September 4, 1914 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Willie David and Emma (Currens) Robinson. She worked for the Mercer County School System and was a member of the Claylick United Methodist Church. Survivors include: two daughters: Bonnie C. Cunningham of Salvisa, KY, Nancy C. (Chuck) LeFevers of Salvisa, KY and two sons: Herbert L. (Barbara) Cox of Harrodsburg, KY, Mike (Linda) Cox of Salvisa, KY; two sisters: Louise Bowman of Salvisa, KY, Josephine Floyd of Arlington, TX; and a brother: Elsby Robinson of Salvisa, KY; Nine Grandchildren; Ten great grandchildren; Three Great Great Grandchildren,. She was preceded in death by a brother: Garnett Robinson, a sister: Gladys Cox, a grandchild and a great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 18 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery, Lawrenceburg. Pallbearers are: Bobby Cox, Tim Cox, Keith Huffman, Tommy Cox, Troy Young, Larry Cox, Brian Thompson and Casey Sparrow. Honorary Bearers: Kim Huffman, Lisa Sparrow, Jan Thompson, Billy Robinson, John Robinson and Alton Warford. Visitation will be Friday, October 17 from 2-8 PM and Saturday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Bluegrass or the Claylick Methodist Church.
