Frank Raney Trisler, age 87, 402 Cane Rune Street, Harrodsburg, widow widower husband wife of Mary Catherine Hopper Trisler, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Born April 8, 1921 in Burgin, KY, he was the son of the late Philip Burks and Susan Raney (McCrosky) Trisler. He served the Army during World War II. He was a retired postman for the U.S. Postal Service and a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church. Frank was a Life and Charter Member of the VFW Survivors include: his wife: Mary Catherine (Hopper) Trisler, a daughter: Nancy Bruce Trisler of Harrodsburg, KY and two sons: Philip Hopper Trisler of Lexington, KY, Frank Stewart Trisler of Summit, NJ; Grandson, Adam Philip Trisler of Lexington, KY; two granddaughters: Amanda Catherine Trisler of Lexington, and Hope Trisler of Summit, NJ. He was predeceased by a sister: Edith Trisler Howard and a brother: Joe Trisler. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM, Saturday, November 8 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Ken Klemme and David Ross. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: John Trisler, Larry Trisler, Bobby Trisler, George Buchanan, Joe Don Denny, and Jack Springate. Honorary Bearers are: The Frank Trisler Sunday School Class Members, Co-Workers from the Post Office, John Wayne Peavler, Bill Conover, Carlos Lester, James H. Ison and Huntley Royalty Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 5-7 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
