John James “Jack” Malloy, age 75, Harrodsburg formerly of Sheffield Lake, OH. died Monday, November 24, 2008 at his home in Mallard Cove, Harrodsburg, KY. Born December 9, 1932 in Wilkinsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew Joseph and Elizabeth (Patterson) Malloy and the husband of Margaret Misiak Malloy. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a brick mason for the Local # 5 Union in Cleveland OH and a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church. Survivors include: his wife: Margaret (Misiak) Malloy, four daughters: Monica Finley of Vermilion, OH, Christine do Couto of Lexington, KY, Margaret Thiessen of Vermilion, OH and Kathleen Miller of Clyde, OH and three sons: James Malloy of Avon, OH, David Malloy of Berlin Heights, OH and John Malloy of Lorain, OH; a sister: Janet Peterson of Simi Valley, CA; Eleven Grandchildren; One Great Grandchild. Predeceased by: his parents, two sisters: Dolores and Margie and two brothers: Andrew and Charles. A Memorial Service will be held 10 am, Tuesday, December 2 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville at 1:30 pm. The Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
