Adelbert Burton Burkie Spears, age 61, Danville, widower of Judy Elaine Sherer Spears, died Sunday, December 14, 2008.
Born December 27, 1946 in Danville, KY, he was the son of John Y. Spears and Evelyn Hall Hays. He was a former employee at the Kentucky State Hospital and a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville.
Survivors include: two daughters: Sarah S. Mattingly of Raywick, KY and Rebekah Lynn Spears of Danville; Grandson, Caleb Daniel Mattingly; Granddaughter, Grace Elaine Mattingly; parents: John Y. Spears of Danville and Evelyn Hall Hays of Harrodsburg; two sisters: Eileen Sheperson of Gravel Switch and Cathy Jones of Harrodsburg; one brother: John W. Spears of Danville; Several Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by his wife; Judy Elaine Sherer.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM, Wednesday, December 17 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Kenneth Whitehouse and Doug Wesley. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Johnny Spears, Jack Sheperson, David Sheperson, William Ellis, Steve Ingram and Tyler Isaacs. Honorary Bearers: Omie Gibson, Mike Sargent, Chris Spears, David Gee and Ivan Isaacs,
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 17 from 12 noon until the hour of service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
