JEWELL CUMMINS GREEN
Jewell Cummins Green, 85, of 705 Fairview Court, wife of Edgar L. Green, died Thursday, October 23, 2003 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born January 1, 1918 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Cordelia Smith Cummins and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse for Kentucky State Hospital.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, William Bill Prewitt, Lexington; three daughters, Nancy Mayes, Perryville, Louise Nowlin, Harrodsburg, and Barbara Pinkston, Danville; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a special care giver, Mary Hooper, Harrodsburg.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 25 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert Defoor and John David Lane. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Leslie Nowlin, Timmy Nowlin, Charlie Nowlin, Earl Pinkston, Joe Mayes, and Johnny Mayes.
Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Friday, October 24 and after 7:30 am Saturday at the chapel.
