Obituary of Verlin G. Gabhart

Verlin G. Gabhart, age 93, 129 Mac Ct., Harrodsburg, widower of Florence M. Gabhart, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born January 21, 1916 in Mercer Co., he was the son of the late Morgan and Lottie (Roberts) Gabhart. He was retired from manufacturing and had been an antique dealer, and was a purple heart recipient as an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ. Survivors include: two brothers, Chester and Murrell Gabhart, Harrrodsburg; one sister, Mable Berry, Glasgow; six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Richey. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 24, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mike Estes. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are Buddy Shirley, Jack Freeman, Dwayne Hall, Bruce Parrott, Carroll Gritton, and Donnie Pinkston. Visitation will be Friday, January 23, from 5-8 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
