Obituary of Megan Myers

Megan Marie Myers, 21, Burgin, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Megan was the daughter of John and Della Myers. She was a 2005 graduate of Burgin High School where she was a cheerleader in middle school, played softball, was a 4H Leader and a member of the National Honor Society. Megan was very involved around the community, she helped with YMCA summer programs, was a summer intern for the Mercer County 4H this past summer. She was the pool manager, life guard and swim team coach at the Anderson Dean Community Park Aquatic Center. Megan was currently attending Eastern Kentucky University and majoring in Family and Child Studies. Meagan was also a member, Deacon and substitute children’s Sunday School teacher at the Burgin Christian Church. Megan is survived by: her parents; John and Della Wessling Myers, a sister; Lauren Michelle Myers, grandparents; Leroy and Laverne Wessling and Phyllis J. Myers, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 5-8 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Graveside Services will be conducted by Mandye Yates Friday 2 pm in the Burgin Memorial Garden.
