Edmund Hugh Satterly, 83, of 607 Elizabeth Ct., Harrodsburg, husband of Wanda Frazier Satterly, died Tuesday, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg. Born in Mercer Co, Sept. 9, 1924, he was the son of the late Clellan and Lena Barnett Satterly. He was the retired owner and operator of Satterly’s Five Point Service Station, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, and was a former Mason and Optimist Club member. Survivors other than his wife include: one son, Edmond Shane (Tomi) Satterly, Lexington; one daughter, Anne Frazier (Bill) Curry, Harrodsburg; one sister, Patsy (Tim) Owens, Atlanta; five grandchildren, Ashley Cinnamon, Frazier and Evan Satterly, and Christian and Meagan Curry. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Carolyn Satterly. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, Mar. 19, 2009, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Dr. Dan Francis officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites. Pallbearers are Bobby Thompson, Harold Gritton, Christian and Meagan Curry, Evan Satterly, and Mark Watts. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com.
