Obituary of George Omer Moore

George Omer Moore, 84, Salvisa, husband of Lala Jefferies Moore, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born April 7, 1925 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Redmon and Omie (Holman) Moore. He served the Marine Corps during World War II. He retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department and a member of the Salvisa Christian Church.
Survivors include: his wife: Lala (Jefferies) Moore; son, Omer Moore of Salvisa; five grandchildren, Jessica Moore, Stephanie Harley, Chris Chasteen, Bryn Fallis and Kayla Fallis; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Eulas Moore and a Nephew David Gerald Fallis of Lawrenceburg .
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 25 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Vickie Ray and burial will be in the Kirkwood Cemetery, Salvisa.
Pallbearers are: Don Moore, Bryn Fallis, Koty Harley, Lynn Carlton, Ronnie Broce and Kenny Qualls. Honorary Bearers are: Hugh Otis, Fred Qualls, Curtis Currens, William Otis, and the Men of Salvisa Christian Church,
Visitation will be Friday, April 24 from 5 - 8 PM and Saturday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
