JACK M. COATNEY


Jack M. Coatney, 50, of 451 Oakley Avenue, husband of Jesseca R. Horn Coatney, died Sunday, October 26, 2003 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born June 30, 1953 in Nicholas County, he was the son of Lester W. Coatney, Carlisle and the late Agnes McKenzie Coatney. He was a sales representative for Bill Heard Chevrolet in Nashville, TN and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.


Survivors, in addition to his wife and father, include two sons, Phillip Ryan Coatney and Jack M. Coatney, both of Harrodsburg; two daughters, Season Coatney Prewitt and Sara Morgan Coatney, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Keith Coatney, Lexington; one sister, Dana Yeager, Harrodsburg and one granddaughter, Brinkley Prewitt, Harrodsburg.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Rick Snyder. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Randy Dunigan, Gary Hurst, Carl Coatney, Kevin Gibson, Larry Catlett, Bobby Dennis, Gary Sanford, Kenny Stratton, and Timmy Shallcross.


Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Tuesday and after 7:30 am Wednesday at the chapel.
