Annie Ottis Smith, age 88, Harrodsburg, widow of Lewis D. Smith, died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born September 5, 1920 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Leslie and Espie Rena Hockersmith Jones. She was a seamstress for Palm Beach Company for several years and a member of the Magnolia Street Christian Church. Survivors include: one daughter: Donna Spring Lunsford of Lexington, three sisters: Jane Geary of Dayton, OH, Dorothy Boggs of Covington, OH, Rena Mckinney of Indianapolis, IN; a step Daughter, Nonta Miller of Steubenville, OH; Friends & Caregivers: John & Mary Turner; Grandson, Mark Smith; three great grandchildren and several Nieces & Nephews. Predeceased by a grandson: Christopher Maggard, and a brother: James E. Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 19 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Johnny Hockersmith and Glenn Daughtery. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Monday, May 18 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
