Obituary of Richard Clell Green

Richard Clell Green, age 90, Salvisa, widower of Irene Graham Green, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born July 26, 1918 in Washington County, KY, he was the son of the late James R. and Myrtle (Elliott) Green. He was a retired Corning Glass employee and a farmer and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include: a daughter: Roxie (Don Billy) Rogers, Harrodsburg and a son: James R. Green, Salvisa; Three Grandchildren; Five Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. Richard was predeceased by a daughter: Juanita Griggs, two sisters; Ruby Robinson, Beulah Lane and two brothers: Arthur Green and Roger Green.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 3 at the Hopewell Baptist Church by Brian Burkhead. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Curtis Sherrow, Roy Griggs, Mark Griggs, Don Stiglich, Connie Darland, Steve Roger and Ben Roger.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2, 5-8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, and at the church after 9 AM Wednesday.
