Anita Kay Buchanan, 49, Harrodsburg, wife of Cecil Buchanan, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at her home.
Born September 29, 1959 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of Ann Castle Watts and Jesse Wilson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church. Survivors include: her husband: Cecil Buchanan, two daughters: Amanda K. (John Paul) Bailey and Katie Buchanan and a son: Jonathan (Carolyn) Buchanan all of Mercer County; mother, Ann Castle Watts of Harrodsburg and father, Jesse Wilson of VA, two sisters: Rita (Nick) Darnell of Amelia, OH and Lodi (Nick) Lambert of Harrodsburg: and one brother: Jeff (Stacy) Wilson of LaGrange, KY; Three Granddaughters, Kaylie, Laci And Mollie.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 9 from 4:30-7:30 leading up to her service at 7:30 PM, Thursday, July 9 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Derek Baker.
A Private Committal Service will be in the Mt Pleasant Church Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Nick Lambert, Tony Calvert, Fred Lewis, Edwin Riley, Nick Darnall, Darrell Ellis, Brandon Wilson, David Biship, Perry Buchanan and Steve Horn.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Red Cross or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
