Anne Chilton Sims
Anne Chilton Sims, age 87, Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born October 22, 1921 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late John Hughes and Grace Chilton Whitenack. She was a Haggin Hospital food service manager and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church. Ann also was a member of the Easter Star, the Sun Shine Homemakers and Mercer County Senior Citizens. She also worked at the Fort Harrod State Park for several years.
Survivors include: one daughter: Carolyn and the late Johnny Thornton of Harrodsburg, two sisters: Martha Sue Mayes of Harrodsburg, Wyona Chew of CA; and one brother: J. H. Whitenack of Harrodsburg, Grandson: Brian (Shannon) Driskell of Garrard Co., two Granddaughters: Anne Marie (Mike) Estes, and Caroline Tatum both of Harrodsburg, Son-in-Law: Sonny Driskell; several nieces & nephews, and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter: Charlotte Driskell, two brothers: Edwin Whitenack, Everett Whitenack, and two sisters: Irene Whitenack, and Glendon Whitenack.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 9 at the Spring Hill Cemetery by Tim Gray.
Pallbearers are: Allen Whitenack, Dennis Mayes, Alex Whitenack, David Whitenack, Sonny Driskell, Mike Estes, Wayne Mayes, and James Davis.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
