Obituary of Marsdon B. Lake

Marsdon B. "Womp" Lake, age 86, Bohon Road, Harrodsburg, husband of Agnes Taylor Lake, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born May 23, 1923 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Harve M. and Cynthia (Warner) Lake.
He was a rural route mail carrier for some 28 years and a member of the Grapevine Christian Church. Marsdon was a KY Colonel and member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association.
Survivors include: his wife: Agnes(Taylor) Lake; daughter, Linda Lake; Daughter-in-law, Jane Lake; grandchildren, Barbie Roberts and Missy Lake and three Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son: Milton Gale Lake
Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Friday, July 17, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Claud Waldridge. Burial will be in the Grapevine Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Benton Lake, Ryan Lake, Kenton Lake, Gene Taylor, Sonny Roberts and David Drury. Honorary Bearers are: Glen Reynolds, Wayne Reynolds, Sam Rasnake, Harvey Morris, Bobby Taylor, Jackie Springate, John Wayne Peavler and Carlos Lester.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 5-8 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and prior to the service on Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Grapevine Cemetery Fund.
