LIZZIE COX ROBINSON Lizzie Cox Robinson, age 101, formerly of Harrodsburg, widow of Hugh B. Robinson, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at the Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation. Born April 24, 1902 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Almyra Overstreet Cox. She was a self-employed homemaker and member of the Eller’s Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, William and his wife Wilma Robinson, Burgin; two daughters, Magdalene and her husband Jasper Pitt, of Tennessee and Elizabeth and her husband Charles Hardin, Harrodsburg; one sister, Margaret Spaulding, Lawrenceburg; thirteen grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Nathan Robinson and Hugh Robinson, Jr.; three daughters Josephine Phillips, Marie Robinson and Albertine Hayslett, also by five brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Kenneth Whitehouse. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Mercer County. Pallbearers will be Charles and Harold Pitt, Doug Robinson, Mike Patterson, Brian Sallee, and Tony Pinkston. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 until 9 pm and after 8 am Sunday at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ebenezer Church Cemetery Fund.
