Kenneth Robards Black, 71, 544 N. College St., Harrodsburg, KY, died Tues., Aug. 25th, at his home. He was widower of Laura and Brenda M. Black. Born April 15, 1938, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Mildred Dean Hayes Black, Harrodsburg, and the late Hugh Edward Black. He was an employee of I. H. Services, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, and had served his country as an Army Paratrooper. Survivors other than his mother include: two daughters, Tracy Ingold and Lori Barnes, both of Greensboro, N.C.; three step sons, Mark Turner, Harrodsburg, Cecil Wright, Richmond, and Charles Turner, Lexington; one step daughter, Peggy Black, Harrodsburg; four grandchildren; twelve step grandchildren; one brother, Ricky Wayne Black, Harrodsburg; four nieces. He was preceded in death by two brothers Eddie and Hugh Fredrick Black. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Matthew Robbins officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation is 11 am Friday until the hour of service. Pallbearers are Gary Tackett, Samuel Sneed, Chris Meredith, Jacob and Sheldon Turner, and Kenny Hicks.
