Margie H. Barnett, age 81, 361 College Manor, Harrodsburg, widow of Otis Ray Barnett Barnett, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born December 30, 1927 in Mercer Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Ophia (Peavler) Huffman. She was a former clerk at Shaker Village Of Pleasant Hill and a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kaye (Glave) Burton of Harrodsburg, KY; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lauren Burton; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Douglas Barnett.
Funeral services will be 11AM Friday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Burton and Wayne Spivey. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are Wayne Jackson, Mike and Robbie Huffman, Chip Combs, Geoffrie Reid, and Danny Jackson. Honorary bearers are Una Noland, Helen Jernigan, Ella Long, Rose Mary Helm and Betty Parrott.
Visitation 5-8 PM Thurs., Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
