Marie E. Gartner, age 90, Harrodsburg, widow of John M. Gartner, died Tuesday, September 7, 2009 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born October 23, 1918 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Anna (Ferris) Edwards. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include: a daughter: Rita (Thomas) Bentley of Harrodsburg and a son: Denis (Patsy) Gartner of New Port Richey, FL; three Step Grandsons: Brian (Carol) Bentley, Scott Bentley and Hilton (Patty) Newball; Three Step Great Grandchildren, Three Step Great Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, September 11 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church by Father Danny Schwendeman. Burial will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Friday, September 11 from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the St. Andrew Catholic Church, Harrodsburg, KY.
