Obituary of Harry L. Burke

Harry L. Burke, 66, Ross Ave., Harrodsburg, husband of Glenda Robinson Burke, died Monday at the Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born in Mercer Co., he was the son of the late William G. and Lucille Blacketer Burke. He was a retired Corning Glass employee, a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church, a KY Colonel, and was a volunteer & coach for Mercer County League Baseball for several years. Harry was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Other survivors include: two sons, Michael (Lori) Burke and Kevin Burke, both of Harrodsburg; one sister, Nancy (Ronnie) Baker, Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Lara, Cameron, and Morgan Burke; two step grandchildren, Brandon Noel and David (Marquita) Phillips Jr.; and two great grandchildren, Montana and Cheyenne; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services 1 pm Thu., Spring Hill Cemetery, with Derek Baker and Chuck Robinson officiating. Visit. after 5pm Wed., Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers are Ronnie Baker, Dan Murphy, Donnie, Kevin, and Michael Burke, and Mike Robinson. Memorials suggested to the Make a Wish Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
