Josephine G. Cassone, age 83, Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born April 27, 1926 in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo and Josephine Farina Garofalo. She was a retired Nursing Technician and former model, whose stage name was Joy Lane.
Survivors include: one daughter: Donna (Brian) Teater, and one son: John Cassone both of Harrodsburg, one sister: Carmela Figlia of Odenton, MD; and three brothers: Charles (Elcera) Garofola of Lake Grove, NY, Thomas (Claudia) Garofola of Gaithersburg, MD, Salvatore (Sheila) Garofola of Port Jefferson, NY; Grandchildren: Matthew & Noelle Teater, and several Nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by a brother: Joseph Garofola.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 15 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church by Father Chris Clay.
Pallbearers are: Matthew Teater, Michael Figlia, Joseph Garafola, Robert Garafola, Brian Teater and Mike Baker.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 15 after 12 noon at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
