BUFORD C. TAYLOR Buford C. Taylor, age 73, 838 Watershore Drive, Harrodsburg, husband of Margie Maxey Taylor died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at his home. Born May 5, 1930 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Birdie (B.R.) and Pearl Drury Taylor. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a self-employed building contractor for many years. He was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church and the Mercer Home Builders Association. Survivors, besides his wife include, one son, David C. and his wife Ann Taylor, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Sandy and her husband David Murphy, Harrodsburg, and Terri and her husband Leslie Williams, Harrodsburg; four brothers, Bruce, William D, William C. and Steve Taylor all of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Reva Durr and Connie Bivins, both of Harrodsburg; 8 grand children and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Owen and Charles Taylor. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, November 11 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Lewis Walter, Jerel Coffey, Dale Denton, and Michael West. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John David Taylor, Wes Murphy, John Elliott, Chuck Taylor, Josh Murphy, and Clay Murphy. Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Patterson, Danny Noel, Bobby Roney, Godbey Roney, Jack Coleman, Jim McGlone, James Butch Merchant, Harry Harmon, Ed Hudson, Truman Curtsinger, David Patrick, and Barry Currens. Visitation will be held after 5:00 pm Monday and after 7:30 am Tuesday at the chapel.
