Obituary of John Arthur Sleeper

John Arthur Sleeper, age 83, 262 Talmage-mayo Rd., Harrodsburg husband of Vivian Kreger Sleeper, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born April 20, 1926 in Marshall, MI, he was the son of the late Clifton and Dorothy (Hankins) Sleeper. He was an Army veteran of the Korean war, a retired Clark Equipment Co. employee, and member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: three sons, Danny (Betty) Sleeper of Scottsdale, AZ, Jon A. Sleeper of Miami Beach, FL, and Steve (Jean) Sleeper of Danville, KY; three sisters, Nancy Walkinshaw, Margaret Halcomb, and Donna Stephenson all of MI; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Lyle Sleeper.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 19 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Steve Sleeper with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Friday, December 18 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Clumberland Presbyterian Church or The Harrodsburg Lions Club.
