Obituary of Venetta Wade

Venetta M. Wade, age 85, Harrodsburg, widow of Raymond Wade, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at her home. Born October 25, 1924 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Susie Beckham Marksbury. She was an operator for Bell South Telephone Company for a number of years. She was a long time member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church and the Ladies auxiliary of the VFW # 6935. Survivors include: three sons: Dennis (Mary June) Wade, David (Norma) Wade and Kenny (Cari Perkins) Wade all of Harrodsburg, KY, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Alice Woods of Harrodsburg, KY; Predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Jo Wade, brother, Ralph Marksbury and two sisters, Ruby and Dorine Ashford. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM, Monday, January 25 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mark Thompson and John David Lane Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Chad Wade, Julie Barnett, Amanda Lewis, Mark Wade, Timothy Wade, Bruce Wade and Angelia Swabey. Honorary Pallbearers are, Betty Russell, Melissa Darland and Heather Comdon. Visitation will be Sunday, January 24 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
